River Flats Between Bomaderry and Shoalhaven Heads
Bolong is a farming locality on the northern side of the Shoalhaven River, stretching east from the edge of Bomaderry along Bolong Road towards Shoalhaven Heads. It is flat, fertile floodplain country with dairy herds, grazing paddocks and old homesteads, and it sits just across the water from Nowra. Industrial sites at the Bomaderry end of Bolong Road give way quickly to open farmland.
Residents are a mix of farming families who have been here for generations and newer rural-lifestyle owners who want paddocks with a short commute. Both groups rely heavily on technology now, from herd management software and online banking to school laptops, but the flood-prone flats and scattered homes create their own IT challenges.
Farmhouses and Rural Homes on the Floodplain
Homes around Bolong are spread along the road and farm lanes, often with the dairy, machinery sheds and workers’ cottages some distance from the main house. One router in the kitchen rarely covers it all. Older farmhouses may also have thick walls and extensions added over decades, which block Wi-Fi more than people expect.
The floodplain adds another consideration. When the river rises, access roads can be cut and power can go out, so households benefit from keeping equipment off the floor, backing up to the cloud and having a way to stay in touch.
Technology on Working Dairy and Grazing Farms
Dairy is the backbone of Bolong, and modern dairying is surprisingly digital. Milk supply data, herd records, feed planning, NLIS movements, payroll for farm staff and accounts all run on computers and apps. Some farms also have automated equipment, cameras and sensors that need a network to report back.
When a farm office computer dies at milking time or an email account is hijacked, the business feels it straight away. We help farming families keep their systems simple, secure and backed up, with sensible fallbacks for when the internet is down.
Getting Around Bolong and Nearby
Bolong Road runs from Bomaderry out past the farms towards Coolangatta and Shoalhaven Heads, with the Shoalhaven River and its islands to the south. Nowra is just across the river bridges, and Berry is a short drive north. The low-lying land means river conditions sometimes affect travel, especially after heavy rain in the catchment.
Because Bolong is close to Nowra and Bomaderry, it is relatively easy for us to fit in on-site visits. We aim for same-day or next-business-day help where we can, and many issues can be handled remotely. If flooding is affecting roads, we will check with you before heading out. Our Shoalhaven page covers Bomaderry and the northern side.

Whether it is a fresh setup, a migration or the classic will-not-send headache, we sort Microsoft 365, Outlook and Google Workspace email for households and teams.
We design, install and extend wired and Wi-Fi networks so homes and offices from Bonython to Chisholm get strong, secure coverage in every room, including tricky NBN connections.

Patient one-on-one or small-group training for people of any age and skill level, pitched to where you are at so the lessons actually stick.
Failed hard drive, dead USB stick or files that have simply vanished? We work to recover what matters most to you, and if there is no data there is no fee.
We set up automatic local, cloud or hybrid backups for homes and businesses, then test the restore so you know your files will actually come back when it counts.
Encryption, sensible access controls and clear policies keep your data out of the wrong hands without getting in the way of your working day.
Moving to a new device? We transfer your data across cleanly, check every file landed safely, and keep downtime to a minimum.
A fresh Windows or macOS install clears out years of clutter and lingering infections. We rebuild, reconfigure and restore your machine so it feels new again.
Something new to install, or old programs to clear out? We handle software installs, removals and licensing so everything works together the way it should.
Brand-new or getting on in years, we tune startup items, storage and settings so your computer runs as fast and smoothly as it can.
