Mogo is a small historic village on the Princes Highway about ten minutes south of Batemans Bay, in the Eurobodalla Shire. It sits in our Shoalhaven listings, but belongs to the Batemans Bay and Moruya side of the coast. Born in the gold rush era, the village is now known for its main street of galleries, craft and gift shops and cafes, and for Mogo Wildlife Park nearby.
On New Year’s Eve 2019, the Clyde Mountain fire tore through Mogo, destroying many of its shops and homes. The village has been rebuilding since, and many businesses have reopened in new or restored premises.
