Gateway to the Budawangs, a Long Way From the Exchange
Wog Wog is a rural locality in the Braidwood district, best known to bushwalkers as the southern entry point to the Budawang wilderness in Morton National Park, with tracks leading toward Corang Peak and beyond. It uses the 2622 postcode, which is why our site groups it with the Shoalhaven, although the surrounding district looks to Braidwood and the villages around it for services.
Private land here is a mix of bush blocks, grazing country and weekend retreats bordering the park. Residents value the quiet and the nearby wilderness, and accept that services are basic: no town, limited mobile coverage and internet delivered mostly by satellite. Our role is to make that connection as reliable as possible and to keep devices and data safe in fire-prone country.
Getting Online at the Edge of the Wilderness
Most homes around Wog Wog rely on satellite internet, now mostly Starlink, and many run on solar power with battery storage. Tall forest and ridgelines can obstruct the sky, and cold, wet winters test outdoor equipment.
Part-time residents often want to check on the property from Canberra or the coast, while permanent residents need communication they can count on during storms and fire season. Getting the details right, including power use, dish position, backup communication and alert apps, makes daily life much easier.
Small Rural Operators and Walkers’ Accommodation
The local economy is small: grazing, rural contracting, conservation and land management work, and a little tourism tied to walkers and campers visiting the Budawangs. Some residents also work remotely in professional roles, relying entirely on their satellite connection.
For these operators, dependable communication and safe data storage are the priorities. We set up backup routines that sync whenever the connection allows, secure devices in case of theft from an unattended property, and help small accommodation or guiding businesses manage bookings and enquiries online.
Wog Wog, Mongarlowe and Braidwood
Properties near Wog Wog are reached via rural roads east of Braidwood, with the village of Mongarlowe nearby. The trailhead into the Budawangs brings walkers and campers through the area, particularly in spring and autumn. Roads can be unsealed and slow after rain.
Much of our support for Wog Wog properties is delivered remotely once the satellite connection is working. When on-site work is needed, such as installing a dish or rewiring a network, we schedule visits in the Braidwood district and confirm access and conditions beforehand.
Other places we look after in the 2622 postcode include Araluen North 2622, Araluen 2622, Back Creek 2622, Ballalaba 2622 and Bendoura 2622. See every suburb in Shoalhaven, or our IT Support Canberra page for the whole district.

Running slow, overheating, fans roaring or refusing to boot at all? We repair laptops and desktops for homes and offices, with most jobs turned around the same day.
When a machine starts misbehaving, our technicians work through it methodically, isolate the real cause, and get you back up and running instead of guessing.
A new printer, monitor, webcam or external drive should just work. We install and configure peripherals so they slot neatly into your existing setup.
Cracked, flickering or blacked-out laptop, tablet and monitor screens are usually repairable. We assess and replace them with genuine parts, quickly.
A quick SSD swap or extra memory can breathe years back into a tired computer. We fit the upgrades that give you the biggest performance gain for the least outlay.
Whether it is a fresh setup, a migration or the classic will-not-send headache, we sort Microsoft 365, Outlook and Google Workspace email for households and teams.
We design, install and extend wired and Wi-Fi networks so homes and offices from Bonython to Chisholm get strong, secure coverage in every room, including tricky NBN connections.
New phone or tablet? We set it up, connect it and carry across your contacts, messages, photos and apps, so you walk away ready to go with nothing left behind.
Patient one-on-one or small-group training for people of any age and skill level, pitched to where you are at so the lessons actually stick.
Failed hard drive, dead USB stick or files that have simply vanished? We work to recover what matters most to you, and if there is no data there is no fee.
We set up automatic local, cloud or hybrid backups for homes and businesses, then test the restore so you know your files will actually come back when it counts.
Encryption, sensible access controls and clear policies keep your data out of the wrong hands without getting in the way of your working day.
Moving to a new device? We transfer your data across cleanly, check every file landed safely, and keep downtime to a minimum.
A fresh Windows or macOS install clears out years of clutter and lingering infections. We rebuild, reconfigure and restore your machine so it feels new again.
Something new to install, or old programs to clear out? We handle software installs, removals and licensing so everything works together the way it should.
Brand-new or getting on in years, we tune startup items, storage and settings so your computer runs as fast and smoothly as it can.
From the latest consoles to retro favourites, we set them up, sort parental controls, and get them talking to your home network and TV.
Firewalls, antivirus, patching and sensible configuration keep your systems and networks protected, and we step in quickly if something slips through.
We set up and troubleshoot AV, projectors, sound and video conferencing for homes, boardrooms and meeting spaces so presentations just work.
Ransomware, spyware, adware or a stubborn virus? Our technicians remove the infection, recover what they can, and harden the machine so it does not happen again.
New printer refusing to cooperate or an old one gone on strike? We get printing, scanning and drivers working across all your devices.
Not sure what to buy? We give honest, vendor-neutral advice on the devices and solutions that genuinely suit how you live and work.
After damage, loss or theft, we prepare clear condition and valuation reports to support your insurance claim.
CCTV, access control, smart locks, intercoms and alarms, installed, serviced and tied neatly into your network and systems.
