A Village on the Escarpment With Its Own Way of Doing Things
Bundanoon sits at the southern end of the Highlands, where the railway line and the old Argyle Street shops give way almost immediately to the sandstone gullies of Morton National Park. The village is known for its Scottish festival each autumn, for Glow Worm Glen after dark, and for being the first town in the country to take bottled water off its shelves. It also carries the memory of January 2020, when fire from the Morton complex reached the edge of town and residents spent days watching the smoke.
The people who live here are a real mix: long-term locals, retirees who moved down from Sydney, artists and writers, and a growing number of hybrid workers who catch the train up a couple of days a week. What they share is a fondness for the place and a need for technology that behaves in a cold, damp, tree-lined village.
Cottages, Bush Blocks and Winter Evenings Indoors
Housing in Bundanoon runs from Federation-era weatherboards near the station to brick homes on the newer streets and larger blocks that back onto bushland. Many houses were built for a different era of technology: one phone point in the hall, a fibro sleep-out out the back, and walls that swallow a Wi-Fi signal. Winters are long and wet, so the household spends more time inside streaming, video calling grandchildren and running the heater, and the network gets a workout.
NBN here is mostly fixed line in the village, with fixed wireless and satellite further out towards Penrose and the park boundary. We help residents make the most of whichever service they have.
Galleries, Guesthouses and the Weekend Trade
Commerce in Bundanoon is small and personal. The shops along Railway Avenue and Argyle Street serve locals and the weekend crowd, guesthouses and bed-and-breakfasts fill up for the Highlands festival calendar, and cyclists come through for the trails in the park. Around the village are a number of studios, a craft brewery scene in the wider district, and home-based consultants who bring city clients with them.
Those businesses need bookings, payments and email to work every day, not just when the connection feels like it. We look after the practical side: keeping devices patched, protecting inboxes and making sure guest Wi-Fi is separated from the owner’s own systems. For accommodation operators, our website management service keeps the booking site current between busy weekends.
Reaching Bundanoon and the Villages Around It
Bundanoon is roughly fifteen minutes south of Moss Vale along the Illawarra Highway and Old Hume Highway, with Exeter to the north and Penrose and Wingello further along the line towards Marulan. The Southern Highlands rail service stops at Bundanoon station in the middle of the village. Beyond the last streets, Morton National Park stretches south with its lookouts and walking tracks.
Most of the village is easy for us to reach on a scheduled day, and properties out on the park edge just need a good description of the driveway. We handle a lot of jobs remotely first, and when a visit is needed we aim for same-day or next-business-day where we can. For anyone weighing up a new computer, our new device consulting helps avoid buying more than you need.
Other places we look after in the Southern-Highlands region include Albion Park 2527, Albion Park Rail 2527, Alpine 2575, Avoca 2577 and Aylmerton 2575. See every suburb in Southern-Highlands, or our IT Support Canberra page for the whole district.

What we do in Bundanoon
IT Support Services
Running slow, overheating, fans roaring or refusing to boot at all? We repair laptops and desktops for homes and offices, with most jobs turned around the same day.
When a machine starts misbehaving, our technicians work through it methodically, isolate the real cause, and get you back up and running instead of guessing.
A new printer, monitor, webcam or external drive should just work. We install and configure peripherals so they slot neatly into your existing setup.
Cracked, flickering or blacked-out laptop, tablet and monitor screens are usually repairable. We assess and replace them with genuine parts, quickly.
A quick SSD swap or extra memory can breathe years back into a tired computer. We fit the upgrades that give you the biggest performance gain for the least outlay.
Whether it is a fresh setup, a migration or the classic will-not-send headache, we sort Microsoft 365, Outlook and Google Workspace email for households and teams.
We design, install and extend wired and Wi-Fi networks so homes and offices from Bonython to Chisholm get strong, secure coverage in every room, including tricky NBN connections.
New phone or tablet? We set it up, connect it and carry across your contacts, messages, photos and apps, so you walk away ready to go with nothing left behind.
Patient one-on-one or small-group training for people of any age and skill level, pitched to where you are at so the lessons actually stick.
Failed hard drive, dead USB stick or files that have simply vanished? We work to recover what matters most to you, and if there is no data there is no fee.
We set up automatic local, cloud or hybrid backups for homes and businesses, then test the restore so you know your files will actually come back when it counts.
Encryption, sensible access controls and clear policies keep your data out of the wrong hands without getting in the way of your working day.
Moving to a new device? We transfer your data across cleanly, check every file landed safely, and keep downtime to a minimum.
A fresh Windows or macOS install clears out years of clutter and lingering infections. We rebuild, reconfigure and restore your machine so it feels new again.
Something new to install, or old programs to clear out? We handle software installs, removals and licensing so everything works together the way it should.
Brand-new or getting on in years, we tune startup items, storage and settings so your computer runs as fast and smoothly as it can.
From the latest consoles to retro favourites, we set them up, sort parental controls, and get them talking to your home network and TV.
Firewalls, antivirus, patching and sensible configuration keep your systems and networks protected, and we step in quickly if something slips through.
We set up and troubleshoot AV, projectors, sound and video conferencing for homes, boardrooms and meeting spaces so presentations just work.
Ransomware, spyware, adware or a stubborn virus? Our technicians remove the infection, recover what they can, and harden the machine so it does not happen again.
New printer refusing to cooperate or an old one gone on strike? We get printing, scanning and drivers working across all your devices.
Not sure what to buy? We give honest, vendor-neutral advice on the devices and solutions that genuinely suit how you live and work.
After damage, loss or theft, we prepare clear condition and valuation reports to support your insurance claim.
CCTV, access control, smart locks, intercoms and alarms, installed, serviced and tied neatly into your network and systems.
