One Main Street, Wide Views and Weather That Rolls In Fast
Burrawang perches on a rise east of Moss Vale, halfway to Robertson along the Illawarra Highway, with the Wingecarribee Reservoir spread out below it. The village is tiny: a pub, a general store, a church, a scattering of timber cottages and a few newer houses, all wrapped in mist for a good part of winter. Around it are dairy and cattle farms, some potato paddocks nearer Robertson, and lifestyle properties whose owners came for the view.
Because it is so small, Burrawang has a strong village feel and a mix of permanent residents and weekend owners. Some run businesses from home, some are retired, some commute to Sydney a few days a week and work from the cottage on the others. Their internet connections and devices have to cope with damp, cold and the occasional long power outage.
Keeping a Cold, Damp Cottage Connected
The village streets have fixed-line NBN, while properties out along the surrounding roads are more likely to be on fixed wireless or satellite. Storms coming over the escarpment from the coast knock the power out from time to time, and modems that do not restart cleanly afterwards are a common call. Damp is the other enemy: laptops left in unheated rooms over winter, printers that jam because the paper has absorbed moisture, and older hard drives failing in the cold.
Weekend owners have particular needs. They want the house to be ready when they arrive, the cameras to show them the place is fine midweek, and nobody to have to drive up from Sydney because the router has locked up.
The Pub, the Store and the Farms Around Them
Burrawang’s economy fits on one street plus the paddocks around it. The village pub and general store draw visitors from across the Highlands on weekends, and they depend on card terminals, bookings and a connection that stays up when the dining room is full. Beyond the village, dairy and beef farms, a few horticulture operations and some agricultural contractors keep records, order supplies and report to processors online. Several residents also run consultancies or creative businesses from home.
We help these operators keep payments and bookings reliable, set up the farm office properly, and protect the accounts that money moves through. For hospitality businesses with a growing online presence, our social media marketing team can also take the weekend posting off your plate.
Where Burrawang Sits and How We Get There
The village is about ten minutes from Moss Vale and a similar distance to Robertson, with the Illawarra Highway the main way in. Wildes Meadow and the reservoir lie to the south, Kangaloon and the water-catchment country to the north, and Fitzroy Falls a short drive south-west. Farm driveways off Church Street and the surrounding roads can be long, and the weather can turn from clear to fog within an hour.
We service Burrawang as part of our regular Highlands runs. Software, email and account problems are normally handled remotely, and hardware and network work is done on site. Where a visit is needed we aim for same-day or next-business-day when we can. Businesses that would rather not manage any of this themselves can look at our support options.
Other places we look after in the 2577 postcode include Avoca 2577, Barren Grounds 2577, Barrengarry 2577, Beaumont 2577 and Belanglo 2577. See every suburb in Southern-Highlands, or our IT Support Canberra page for the whole district.

What we do in Burrawang
IT Support Services
Running slow, overheating, fans roaring or refusing to boot at all? We repair laptops and desktops for homes and offices, with most jobs turned around the same day.
When a machine starts misbehaving, our technicians work through it methodically, isolate the real cause, and get you back up and running instead of guessing.
A new printer, monitor, webcam or external drive should just work. We install and configure peripherals so they slot neatly into your existing setup.
Cracked, flickering or blacked-out laptop, tablet and monitor screens are usually repairable. We assess and replace them with genuine parts, quickly.
A quick SSD swap or extra memory can breathe years back into a tired computer. We fit the upgrades that give you the biggest performance gain for the least outlay.
Whether it is a fresh setup, a migration or the classic will-not-send headache, we sort Microsoft 365, Outlook and Google Workspace email for households and teams.
We design, install and extend wired and Wi-Fi networks so homes and offices from Bonython to Chisholm get strong, secure coverage in every room, including tricky NBN connections.
New phone or tablet? We set it up, connect it and carry across your contacts, messages, photos and apps, so you walk away ready to go with nothing left behind.
Patient one-on-one or small-group training for people of any age and skill level, pitched to where you are at so the lessons actually stick.
Failed hard drive, dead USB stick or files that have simply vanished? We work to recover what matters most to you, and if there is no data there is no fee.
We set up automatic local, cloud or hybrid backups for homes and businesses, then test the restore so you know your files will actually come back when it counts.
Encryption, sensible access controls and clear policies keep your data out of the wrong hands without getting in the way of your working day.
Moving to a new device? We transfer your data across cleanly, check every file landed safely, and keep downtime to a minimum.
A fresh Windows or macOS install clears out years of clutter and lingering infections. We rebuild, reconfigure and restore your machine so it feels new again.
Something new to install, or old programs to clear out? We handle software installs, removals and licensing so everything works together the way it should.
Brand-new or getting on in years, we tune startup items, storage and settings so your computer runs as fast and smoothly as it can.
From the latest consoles to retro favourites, we set them up, sort parental controls, and get them talking to your home network and TV.
Firewalls, antivirus, patching and sensible configuration keep your systems and networks protected, and we step in quickly if something slips through.
We set up and troubleshoot AV, projectors, sound and video conferencing for homes, boardrooms and meeting spaces so presentations just work.
Ransomware, spyware, adware or a stubborn virus? Our technicians remove the infection, recover what they can, and harden the machine so it does not happen again.
New printer refusing to cooperate or an old one gone on strike? We get printing, scanning and drivers working across all your devices.
Not sure what to buy? We give honest, vendor-neutral advice on the devices and solutions that genuinely suit how you live and work.
After damage, loss or theft, we prepare clear condition and valuation reports to support your insurance claim.
CCTV, access control, smart locks, intercoms and alarms, installed, serviced and tied neatly into your network and systems.
