Big Skies and Long Roads West of Sutton Forest
Canyonleigh spreads across the open country west of the Hume Highway, reached by Canyonleigh Road from Sutton Forest and running out towards the Wollondilly River and the Wombeyan Caves Road. This is the drier, more exposed side of the Highlands: wide grazing paddocks, granite outcrops, timbered ridges and a scatter of homesteads and rural-residential blocks, many of them on a hundred acres or more. Bushland to the west and south links into the same country that burned in the summer of 2019 and 2020, so fire preparedness is part of life here.
People move to Canyonleigh for space and quiet, and most accept a certain remoteness in return. What they do not want is to be cut off from work, family and services when the technology fails. Keeping a rural household and its business connected is what we do here.
Living Comfortably on a Big Block With a Thin Connection
There is no fixed-line NBN out here. Homes rely on fixed wireless where a tower is visible, on satellite where it is not, and increasingly on Starlink for the households that want video calls and streaming to work properly. Mobile signal is unreliable across much of the area and disappears in the gullies. Houses tend to be spread out, with sheds, cottages and studios that all want coverage, and power interruptions are common enough that equipment needs to cope with them.
Residents include retirees, families running the property while one partner commutes, and remote workers who accepted a long drive to Moss Vale in exchange for the land. We help all of them get a connection that behaves, and set the household up so a dropped link does not stop everything.
Grazing Properties, Horse Studs and the Occasional Remote Executive
The economy of Canyonleigh is rural through and through. Beef and sheep operations, horse studs and agistment, hay and fencing contractors, and a handful of tourism ventures on the way to the caves make up most of it. A growing number of properties are also home to consultants and business owners who run city operations from the homestead, joining meetings over a satellite link and driving to Sutton Forest or Moss Vale when they need to be seen in person.
For farm businesses we focus on practical, low-maintenance systems: records that back themselves up, email that is protected against scams targeting rural suppliers, and tablets that work in the yards and sync when they return to the house. For the remote professionals we build resilient home offices. Where the whole business runs through cloud services, our cloud solutions team can help choose and set up the right platform.
Getting Out to Canyonleigh
The usual approach is from the Hume Highway at Sutton Forest, heading west along Canyonleigh Road past Belanglo State Forest, with the Wollondilly and Wombeyan Caves country beyond. Moss Vale is the closest town of any size, around half an hour away, and Bowral a little further. Driveways are long, some roads are unsealed and can be rough after rain, and phone directions do not always work once you leave the highway.
We schedule visits to Canyonleigh in advance and combine them with other work in the district, after a phone or remote session has narrowed down what is needed. Same-day trips are not always possible this far out, so we aim to solve as much as we can remotely and make each visit count. Property owners looking to replace ageing equipment can use our device upgrades service to plan it properly.
Other places we look after in the 2577 postcode include Avoca 2577, Barren Grounds 2577, Barrengarry 2577, Beaumont 2577 and Belanglo 2577. See every suburb in Southern-Highlands, or our IT Support Canberra page for the whole district.

Running slow, overheating, fans roaring or refusing to boot at all? We repair laptops and desktops for homes and offices, with most jobs turned around the same day.
When a machine starts misbehaving, our technicians work through it methodically, isolate the real cause, and get you back up and running instead of guessing.
A new printer, monitor, webcam or external drive should just work. We install and configure peripherals so they slot neatly into your existing setup.
Cracked, flickering or blacked-out laptop, tablet and monitor screens are usually repairable. We assess and replace them with genuine parts, quickly.
A quick SSD swap or extra memory can breathe years back into a tired computer. We fit the upgrades that give you the biggest performance gain for the least outlay.
Whether it is a fresh setup, a migration or the classic will-not-send headache, we sort Microsoft 365, Outlook and Google Workspace email for households and teams.
We design, install and extend wired and Wi-Fi networks so homes and offices from Bonython to Chisholm get strong, secure coverage in every room, including tricky NBN connections.
New phone or tablet? We set it up, connect it and carry across your contacts, messages, photos and apps, so you walk away ready to go with nothing left behind.
Patient one-on-one or small-group training for people of any age and skill level, pitched to where you are at so the lessons actually stick.
Failed hard drive, dead USB stick or files that have simply vanished? We work to recover what matters most to you, and if there is no data there is no fee.
We set up automatic local, cloud or hybrid backups for homes and businesses, then test the restore so you know your files will actually come back when it counts.
Encryption, sensible access controls and clear policies keep your data out of the wrong hands without getting in the way of your working day.
Moving to a new device? We transfer your data across cleanly, check every file landed safely, and keep downtime to a minimum.
A fresh Windows or macOS install clears out years of clutter and lingering infections. We rebuild, reconfigure and restore your machine so it feels new again.
Something new to install, or old programs to clear out? We handle software installs, removals and licensing so everything works together the way it should.
Brand-new or getting on in years, we tune startup items, storage and settings so your computer runs as fast and smoothly as it can.
From the latest consoles to retro favourites, we set them up, sort parental controls, and get them talking to your home network and TV.
Firewalls, antivirus, patching and sensible configuration keep your systems and networks protected, and we step in quickly if something slips through.
We set up and troubleshoot AV, projectors, sound and video conferencing for homes, boardrooms and meeting spaces so presentations just work.
Ransomware, spyware, adware or a stubborn virus? Our technicians remove the infection, recover what they can, and harden the machine so it does not happen again.
New printer refusing to cooperate or an old one gone on strike? We get printing, scanning and drivers working across all your devices.
Not sure what to buy? We give honest, vendor-neutral advice on the devices and solutions that genuinely suit how you live and work.
After damage, loss or theft, we prepare clear condition and valuation reports to support your insurance claim.
CCTV, access control, smart locks, intercoms and alarms, installed, serviced and tied neatly into your network and systems.
